How many black official project mangers do you know working at the corporate level? Are they using excel or project management software? Just curious.

What do you define as 'corporate level'? How would that level be represented in government positions?
For what it's worth I use Microsoft Project; I love its ability to track intricate details of multiple projects.

Is there a reason you are interested in feedback from black PM’s with regards to using those tools ? Just curious if you’re maybe conducting a survey ?

By official I'm guessing you mean certified. I know several and there isn't a consensus of preferred software. MS-Project has great built in features and lots of them can be replicated in Excel if there aren't enough licenses for the whole team.

It's a long-standing debate which is the more popular: MS Project or Excel.

Takesha, honestly I have not seen any black PMP working in the corporate level or black engineer or black CEO, we just use the word multiculturalism and no racism but I haven't seen even a black functional manager, in fact I once ordered a trainer from states so they sent one black guy very tall from Florida he was the only walking black in town and people staring at him as he is the world's eighth wonder.
Good luck with your search, please share results with us
