Before anyone else continues - Rita's book for the CAPM is NOT yet updated for PMBOK 6 until 4th quarter this year.

My studying consists of:

PMBOK 6 CAPM prep course with Joe on Udemy.
PMBOK 6 guide.
I bought PMBOK 6 flashcards off of Amazon which are a nice help.

https://www.amazon.com/CAPM-Exam-Flashcard...e/dp/0997598387

I aim to read 20-25 pages a day. Highlighting important areas and BOLD outlines within the guide. I also screen shot ALL ITTOs in the Knowledge areas, I write down the process groups and descriptions from the flashcards on those pages, notate all outputs that will become inputs on the following process, and the KEY outputs of each.

I also have a small note book that I write down for each section where I write down the key points, agile considerations, and tailoring considerations. Any formulas I run in to I also write down.

When I start each section, I take the section quiz to assess myself. I also printed out the CAPM exam outline from PMI to make sure I understand all bullet points needed. Throughout the week I will test myself once and a final exam on Sunday to see if my score improved enough to move on to the next chapter.

I just utilize these tools and check myself on areas I need further explaining or practice on. So far so good.

I hope I did not confuse you anywhere with the above. Hopefully it helps you out.

Hi Louiesa,

Great to see you here! and for a quick answer or tips you wanna hear.

While most of them gave you what and where to find the right reference, still its how you practically understand the procedural steps and requirements to establish and achieve the project charter. That's the macro portion.

Then, it's how you fully understands the jargon of wisdom encapsulated in every aspect of processes a certain situation is. That's the micro part.

Lastly, feel free to contact me, were both from the Philippines!

Good luck!

Actually the book from Rita is also available also on their website directly. As far as I know the book has yet to be updated. But you could also try Joe Phillips book which is updated:
