What kind of roles are you looking for Nahid? Isn't there projects within your organization that have roles that you seek?

Discuss with ur HR and functional head and explore how ur newly acquired skills on Project Management can benefit the organisation.
Just remember 4500 hrs of experience shown for eligibility for taking PMP exam came from your existing company

Considering your experience, you should try for technical project manager roles.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses...

I am looking for a technical project manager role. But the kind of opportunities i am getting is not matching it. Its either core technical or only management.

But since i have a slightly more tech exp, i assume that i am not getting the right opportunities.

I did discuss with the HR and functional head but since i did not get a positive feedback, i started looking out.

How do we convince companies of the management skills that one posesses despite having a certification and years of experience? What more can be done?
