I do not play the lottery much. Every now and then I may buy a ticket.
If I did win big I would quit my current job. But I could not not work. So I would find another job that is more fun and less stress. I may do as Kiron and do some coaching, maybe get some additional education to become a counselor (my friends keep telling me I would be good at this) and/or work with animals.
I enjoy project management and the PMO, but the thought of taking a step backand doing something else is enticing.
Dinah that's true I meant you quit current job but there are plenty of other works we can do

I don't usually play the lottery. If they do a pool at work I play, just in case. I don't want to the be the only one left.
Mark that's a good strategic policy It will be so painful if you be left over

I would probably buy if odds are in favour with me (not the very lucky one). Yes, I will quit the rat race and spend more time with my family, buy a decent home, and continue saving the world....
Aries that's right you fifth coming generation will be able to enjoy that.

Oh and by the way I am not lucky in regards to drawings, lotteries, etc. That is why I rarely participate.
I am lucky in certain day to day activities. For example I walked out of a restaurant one day and found that my tire was flat. Next door was a tire store. I had them come over an fix it. Or I passed out at work at the end of the day on a Friday, and we share our office with Fire and Rescue so within 1 minute I was surrounded by 8 EMT's. If it had happened after I went home, the outcome could have been very serious.
That is where my luck is and I am good with it.
Dinah, I hope that the tyre shop did not caused the flat tyre at first LOL

I don't buy lottery tickets because I feel I wouldn't win. However, if I were to be given a winning ticket (let's say $10 million USD) I'd keep my current job for a while. I'd begin my own business (probably real estate investing), then I'd quit my job and transfer my project management skills to managing my business.
Eric, It doesn't happen like that you wont be giving a winning ticket but if you feel like you said then just don't waste your money.

To win you need a ticket! except for some polls, on occasion, I don't have a ticket.

Winning would certainly change a few things. I would certainly not stop working. Many options could be considered, helping some cause would be one.
Vincent that's right you can't win if you are not in, But surely the way of thinking would change when having more purchasing power.

If I win a jackpot, I would definitely quit my current job and look for a job that's less stressful. I also want to help homeless people and those who are suffering from diseases.
Anish, good cause and I hear you so good luck

Yes I buy lottery tickets. And yes, I would quit my job pending on how much I won.
