I'm a Mechanical Engineer with an experience of 18 years, been in Quality Management in the oil industry for 10 years now.
I feel Quality is a dry subject and felt saturated, with no challenges. Moreover, being in Quality your contribution is not accounted, that's something all Quality professionals will agree on.

I am someone who is proactive, loves challenges, sets personal milestones, strives to learn new things and hence thought of switching to Project Management.

Attained PMP certification in 2016 December.

Can I have some suggestions on how to attain my objective?

I guess that when you worked as part of initiatives then you know what to work inside a project is. Perhaps you have a team to manage or you have a manager then you know about management styles. And at the end, each person in this world perform project management from the time they wake up to the time they go to bed with a quit different degree of formality than to perform it inside organizations. So, I guess that the only thing you have to do is taking an initiative to manage inside your organization no matter you are explicit nominate as project manager or not.
