Rajesh - I found this...

PMI members are invited to participate in the election of four candidates to serve on the 2019–2021 Board of Directors. The collective knowledge, experience, diversity and passion of the elected directors shapes and governs your professional member organization.

The board election will be conducted electronically in a secure environment. Personalized electronic ballots will be emailed the week of 16 July 2018. Completed ballots will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. EDT (UTC -4) on 27 August.

And who picks the candidates?

Anyone know where we can find a list of candidates? I would like to at least learn something about them before I vote, otherwise I will end up voting like I do when I am unhappy with a company's stock performance - anyone currently not serving gets my vote.

It looks like PMI members are invited to select four candidates for the 2019-2021 time period. I got an email saying that "personalized electronic ballots will be emailed the week of July 18".

Anish, I think what they mean is select from 4 candidates, not select 4 candidates; there is a big difference.

I think we will receive an email to vote. I did receive one during the last elections. I think anyone (Maybe) can be a candidate, not too sure though.

Sante, are you planning on it ? :D

Rami, nah I won't be; they may not be able to handle me there lol. Actually I understood it to be that the candidates are already "chosen" internally, and we as members pick between them. Kind of like an autocracy wrapped up in a democracy, but I could be wrong ad I probably am.

Maybe, I honestly have no idea how they are chosen ?

Is it mentioned anywhere on the PMI website how those elections are regulated and how candidates are chosen ?
