Thanks Riyadh, for some reason, this is how the question appears on my screen:
Um ein größeres Team zu führen, welche Auswirkungen und Vorkehrungen sollten wir ergreifen?
It is not in English, that is why I asked you for translation.
The ideal number for the team depends on the size and type of the project. When the team grows, communication becomes a bit more challenging but should be manageable.

Research says the optimal team size is 6-8 for efficiency. Agile teams should be 10 or less members, which fits into that. If you have larger teams, sub-teams will evolve by themselves or you can try to build them top down. A maximum size for tribes (groups that work on one area) is about 150.

Thomas, thank you so much for your valued feedback, these are very lucrative numbers however I never had a team with such few members, usually my direct team between 20 to 30 and ten extra integrated team, I agree with your point to have sub team I did divided them and have smaller groups look after certain section or area but in daily morning meetings we all get together to discuss the progress or any concern.

Ruth, sometime I do use contractors as extra manpower needed to execute certain task with shorter time frame like crushing techniques but my main team focus on more specialized tasks.
The ideal number depends on what needs to be accomplished. In general, I'd agree with the benefits of smaller teams to avoid the non-linear growth of communication channels, but that's not an excuse for skipping on critical skills needed to make the team "whole".

Thanks Kiron to point out the problem of having non-linear growth of communication channels which can be controlled by various techniques.

I agree with my colleagues here, smaller teams are always better. Anyway most of the time I don't have any control on the team size, since it depends on the project complexity.

Anish, actually I feel the opposite the bigger the team the bigger I feel to manage them, I have the spirit of a General Manager or a Director / CEO :-)
