I have recently been certified as a PMP. Currently, I am working for an Airport Logistics company in Singapore as a Project Manager.
Now I am moving forward to gain advanced knowledge in Project Management, and hence planning to register for Stanford University's Advanced Project Management program (SCPM).
I would like your inputs and feedbacks on SCPM. Will this advanced certification add a great value to my profile, or just a marginal one?
As I see it will take around an year to complete SCPM, if I plan, I can make a switch with a much added value and knowledge. I am focusing on certain areas and methodologies of PM e.g. Risk Management, Cost Management, Portfolio Management and CCPM. I don't plan to do an MBA at this moment, may be an E-MBA after 5-6 years if see the need.
Looking forward for your invaluable inputs.
Best,

In terms of value add, it sure won't be marginal. I have many friends who have done this courses and love what they learnt - most of them being pmp and some even mba. http://www.knowitright.com/category/sapm has been my great resource and would recommend that to you too.

Hello Chand,
I just asked the same question of our outgoing Region 7 mentor, as he earned a SCPM.
In reviewing the application, I see that earning the certification requires at least three years of PM experience, but you'll have met that in order to earn your PMP.
I'll let you know what I hear when he gets back to me. Saving Changes...
