Hello dears,
I need your advice and recommendation regarding the PMI-ACP certification.
I'm already certified PMP, RMP & IPMA with MSc degree in electrical engineering.
Also planing for my CFA: Chartered Financial Analyst certificate, but this has a long-term pace.

As you all know, agility in project management is the most important requirement nowadays in all industries, especially when digitalization &IoT is penetrating everything.

Do you advise me to get the PMI-ACP certification? or do you recommend another one that's more important and useful?

BR,
Ahmed Sanad

Wish you good luck on your exam

I believe you should go for the ACP, truth is organizations are becoming more flexible in their approach to project management and in the IT industry you find that applying agile methodologies are better suited for projects.
Great,
Do you recommend a good place (online) to get the preparation mandatory course?
Is simplilearn.com fine?

I don't have an idea about Simplilearn's ACP preparatory course. I haven't tried any online courses for PMI exams. The ACP application just mandates 21 hours of any Agile training.

I got your point and I want to ask you also regarding one of the prerequisites of the ACP, do I need to have experience in that management approach? or normal project management experience fulfil it?

as it requires:

Agile Project Experience: 1,500 hours working on agile project teams. These hours are in addition to the 2,000 hours in general project experience and must have been earned within the last three years.
Yes, you need to have agile experience. If you don’t have any, I will quote an advice that was posted here sooner in similar discussion - you may do volunteering. There are a lot of virtual, online, opportunities for volunteering and you may manage the project with agile approach and agile tools. I can say because I’m doing that right now:)

I am ACP certified. I would definitely recommend to use exam simulator to earn the “language” of the exam. I did not read books, someone here recommended me Edwards blog which was absolutely great and covered all the topics. But I was experienced in agile approach before so I’m not sure what resources to recommend when there is perhaps limited previous experience.
