what is the difference about roles in a project around the world?

Which countries do the project have a lot of members (specific roles) and which ones have normally few people in the project (generalistic roles)?

In Dubai, for example, it is normal to have many people in the project like project scheduler, contract manager, project designer, quantity surveyor. And in Germany, normally this responsabilities are take over by the project manager.
