Does anyone have a Microsoft Project Certification? If so, have you found it to be advantageous? If you use Microsoft Project frequently, but have not gotten a certification-- why? Saving Changes...

I've been using MS Project for years, but never saw the need to obtain a certification because it won't increase my salary. At most employers ask for proficiency in MS Project, but I've never seen a job requirement that specified having an MS Project certification. I learned to use MS Project using instructional books, online tutorials, user groups, etc. So long as I can make MS Project do what I want, I'm satisfied. Saving Changes...

I agree with Eric on this.
I don't think certification is important as long as you know what to do in MS Project. Saving Changes...
Depends what you are looking to achieve. I wouldn't see much value in a certification as an MSP user, but if you wanted to offer consulting to companies on setting up the portfolio or enterprise server offerings, then those certifications might help in establishing credibility.
Thank you for the responses. I agree that if you are already successfully using MS Project and are not looking for a new position, that getting the certification would be unnecessary. I do not think I know of anyone who actually has that particular certification. Saving Changes...
