Hi, does anyone have direct experience of becoming a R.E.P.?

I have a lot of experience as a trainer, MBA teacher and I have knowledge that I would like to share via webinars. I just reviewed the criteria how to become R.E.P. Can anyone share their experience of the application process?

Thanks!

I've asked the same question to PMI also. From what I gather you need to have a company that trains people for more than 12 months. Which is kind of unfair since many professionals train without a company such as yourself (I assume).

Yes, I was MBA teacher for 8 years. And I was delivering trainings as part of my job through my whole career.
Thanks Sante, I will find a way. I really like to do trainings and connect things from more disciplines together.

let me know how you go Lenaka. I have provided some PMP and considering also ACP training for aspirants in the Philippines where I was based for more than a decade. But also interested to develop courses for the Australian market here.

I’ll keep you posted. I’m definitely starting my own little company for training and consultancy.

While the company I teach for has been an REP for a while, I did help with their application renewal process late last year. This happened to coincide with the launch of the new edition of the PMBOK Guide, so a fair bit of my time was spent reviewing all of our courseware to ensure it aligned with the updated nomenclature and also ensuring that PMI's style guide (e.g. how do you reference the PMBOK Guide itself) was done correctly.

There are certainly advantages to being part of the REP but you will need to plan for the one-time and ongoing costs and effort in doing so.

Lenka, that's good news you are moving towards the REP with your intelligence you can achieve that even with higher fees you can substitute that from the fees you will charge I know single instructors where they teach on UDEMY and be able to pay their fees to PMI.
