First post. I'm looking for some first-hand experience in identifying a framework, and possibly metrics regarding project performance management. I've seen lots of soft speak about the fact that PM's state that they will measure criteria such as scope, budget, schedule, etc. against a "baseline", but no real tangible measurables, and how they will deal with deviations from the "baselines". I'm also interested in those criteria that define project success other than those previously mentioned. For example, stakeholder acceptance, alignment with strategic and business outcomes, and project team skill development. Saving Changes...

Project success is in the eye of the beholder (or at least stakeholder), so it is important to identify the criteria which are specific to your project and its stakeholders as there really is no "one size fits all" for these...
Agree, but as an organization, we really are not there yet in terms of our maturity and culture, but we are working towards being able to implement a robust EVM regime on our larger projects - $500M+.
EVM can be performed on small projects too, and the metrics and reporting can be simple, so like Kiron suggests, I would start there. Saving Changes...
