The team I have does basic agile. In the past I have worked in organizations where I coached the team on agile and they became one of the highest performing teams. In the new organization, while there are many opportunities for improvement, the higher ups seem to offer resistance when it comes to driving true change. For me, it's always been a bottoms up approach to show senior management that this is the way to go. This is especially true for tools and software that need senior management approval but starts with the independent contributors on the team who explain that the tool is crucial for them to get their jobs done.
