When I generate a milestone report (Reports In-Progress Milestone Report) in MS Project 2016, I get a blank screen with no data. What should I do? Is there a specific way to enter the milestones for it to appear on the report?

Please help.

Hello, I think if you put 0days in the duration will be fine. Alternatively you can check in the project plans templates.!

Hi Pruthvi, Create Milestone(s) in MPP with duration as 0 days.

Pruthvi -

By default, tasks with 0 days duration are identified as milestones, but you can also manually set the milestone flag on tasks if you wish them to appear in that report.

Hi Kyriakos, Rajesh & Kiron,

I have set the duration of milestone to 0. Even then the milestone report is blank. But when I try to generate the report in a different project, I am able to view the report. It is something strange.

Have you checked whether the milestone checkbox is ticked in the details dialog box.

In the milestone report, for each table, click on the Name field. This will open the Field List panel on the side of the screen. toward the bottom of the Tasks tab in the Field List panel, select "Show Hierarchy".

Mark the task/activity as milestone. Zero duration is not enough. I think @Kron above wrote the same.

I ran into the same issue. You need to expand your view on under outline prior to running the report.
