As per gartner prediction for 2008 it is assumed that SAAS is going be next form of application development.How far it will help Business Intelligence and Data warehousing.Please share you thoughts on SAAS on BI.
SAAS BI is also called BI on demand. It is a trend that allows company to have access to Business Intelligence services without having to make the full investment to Set up a datawarehouse and enrich it. 3rd parties can host a datawarehouse and can sell the usage on demand. They can also do predictive and forecasting analytics, datamining and so for their customer. They can pay as they use the BI infrastructure. Some major players have already tought about like Business Objects.
In Europe, this model has not yet been developped thoroughly.
