These terms can and have been transferable. A trainer generally conducts learning sessions in a teaching format. A coach can do that also, but they generally coach teams and promote Agile best practices throughout the organization. An Agile transformation consultant is often the same as a coach but they are usually more strategically focused on the entire organization rather than at the individual team level.
The only thing I'd add to Sante's accurate responses is that a coach focuses on developing capabilities whereas a trainer usually focuses on gaining knowledge.
Similar to titles in the PM job family, I've seen these titles used interchangeably.

Thanks Kiron. Yes, these titles are being used interchangeably. Sometimes they hunt for a person to play an Enterprise Agile Coach role, very similar to a Transformation Consultant's role..

I have a little different perspective based on my experience. It may not be textbook, but the textbook is just the starting point, right?
The Agile Transformation Consultant is helping lead an organizational transformation. There are specific objectives for the transformation, but the consultant may not be responsible for all of them.
The Agile Trainer does just that - trains people on using whatever agile approaches are part of the organization's transformation.
An Agile Coach is not necessarily the same thing as a Certified Scrum Coach. For example, I am not a CSC, but I have a team that is following agile principles. They are no longer using Scrum. They are a self-organizing team and I am, for lack of a better description, their agile coach, guiding them as they improve their processes. This is part of my regularly assigned duties. If we were using Scrum, you might call me a Scrum Master, but my job is not to get the team to use Scrum, it's to support the team in delivering value.

As you have said, the Agile Transformation Consultant will work towards the objectives assigned to him/her. He/she can be for a specific vertical or a product line. Yes, I agree with you on your responses for Agile Coach.

I asked an Agile Consultant once, on a blog post where he claimed Agile Coaches were not needed anymore, what the difference between an Agile Consultant and an Agile Coach was? I never got an answer.

Joshua, a good answer would have been the number of letters in the title ;-)
Interesting :-) But I see a lot of demand for Agile Coach.
