Hi
I need to make a 15 minutes presentation on a project (previous project)where I managed to demonstrate complexity and diversity, aslo demonstrate my creativity resulting in mitigating identified risks on a project. I'm still a junior in the project management field and I don't know where to begin. I was previously a project manager for a small project .

If you managed the project, I'm assuming you have plenty of content. I would just create an outline of the main points you want to hit, and fill it in from there.
You may want to structure it by the high-level project objectives, and go into how you achieved them.
Or you could structure it by PM knowledge areas, etc.
When you are doing a presentation, there is one main thing to keep in mind:
KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE!
Do not start out by defining what you want to show or explain. Figure out what your audience cares about, and what they think or feel today. Then try to figure out what you would like them to think or feel after your presentation is done.
I find that putting the audience first totally changes my perspective on a presentation. It is all about them, not about me or my project. I focus on connecting with them and trying to get something across to them.
Who cares what you present or what you say? What matters is what your audience hears, thinks, and feels.
If you are looking for a general-purpose formula for a project review, these are the points I always try to hit:
- Business reasons for the project
- Whether those objectives were achieved
- Numeric evidence that the objectives were or were not achieved
- A brief history of major milestones
- Any innovative techniques or discoveries in the project
- Thanks to the team, and any outstanding team members
You probably cannot do all these things in 15 minutes, if it is a large project, but these are the types of topics I would try to cover. I pick the topics that my audience would care about the most. Saving Changes...
I have seen that people won't put "Business reasons for the project " to give a bigger picture of the project while doing the presentation. The Big Picture helps diversified audience to understand the presentation. Saving Changes...
