Have you used Smartsheet to track Process Improvement programs and projects?

If yes, did you use the pre-built templates or did you build your own template?

How do you track the progress of your Process Improvement Projects (PDSA to Spread)?

Any sound reporting/metrics feature that you are using?

If you are not using Smartsheet to track your process improvement projects, what tools are you using?

Thank you.

Hi Arlene,

Sure, I use my own smartsheet. I built it in excel platform. In my experience, there is no way to get a complete smartsheet on the first attempt. So, you will have to follow-up its performance and how useful it is. With the pass of time, you will improve it to finally get a full smartsheet that is adjusted to your needs.

Probably you can learn from others templates, but the most important thing is to use a smarsheet, no matter the platform, to measure what you want and also you need.

@Jesus, did you put the various DMAIC dimensions into SmartSheet, and track their progress? Or did you just list the program/project tasks in there, and use another tool for the actual DMAIC?

(Assuming this is 6 sigma)

Hi Vivek, sorry for delay. Absolutely, I used DMAIC methodology to develop my own Smartsheet. It is good that you mention it, as a project manager is great to train on six sigma, it is useful mostly for controlling and improving (in my opinion) processes such as project monitoring and stuff.

Biased response here, but we use Coda docs internally to manage sprints, OKRs, milestones, and of course project deliverables. Happy to share various templates if interested.
