Executing isn't enough, it’s a lot harder to take initiative.
What one thing you could have done different, if you were in your Boss’s position? What would you change if you were the boss?

Thanks Sante, pay component is definitely an area to consider. However, that's tied to performance.

It is the culture of the organization that drives the execution.Stepping into anyone's shoes will have a yardstick defined as in the Role and Responsibilities. If the organization is employee driven and is innovative and considers their employees are their Customers, it would be treat as everyone shall be considered as the Boss.

So what difference would it make? It would make a lot of difference.

Model the behavior I'd want my direct reports to follow and to pass along to their direct reports. For example, multitask less...

I would try to make the working environment devoid of unnecessary stress & pressure; make my teams focus on doing the right things rather than doing things right.
