I believe it is a good idea to see the number of people logged in live on this website as many website they show that number when you are live, the privacy can still be intact because it will not show the names just numbers, can any IT expert tell us if that could cost more on the website or slow it down. it is just a small corner showing the current live number of users

Displaying the profile of an active user can considerably reduce the performance of the site since at any point in time hundreds and thousands of users can be online and the data needs to be fetched from the database to provide accurate information. It will cost more since the software development features need to be developed and maintained as users grow. I am not an IT expert though I work on software projects. Saving Changes...
