Seniors, i am preparing to take my PMP exams and will like to take the CAPM exams also. Do the rules of the PMI exams permit candidates to take the two examinations concurrently?

If you are taking the PMP, there is no reason to take the CAPM. It is the same information. The CAPM is for those managers who do not have the hours of experience as required for the PMP. Therefore, if you have the hours, you just need to take the PMP.
When you have passed the PMP, look at all of the other certifications. You may not be ready to do PgMP or PfMP. But you may be able to get your ACP or RMP. Or even SP or PBA.

Agreed with Dinah!!!! If you have experience, PMP is the strongest and the best one and it is superceeding CAPM!!!!

After passed PMP, look others depend on your field!!!

Good luck

Why?

If you can meet the requirements for the PMP, then just stick with that. There's no value in getting both CAPM and PMP at the same time as the CAPM content is a subset of the PMP content.
