Daily 5-10 minutes meditation can help to relieve stress and anxiety. We have wellness program running throughout the year, where one can plan and track the progress.

Meditation helped me with stress & anxiety.

Yes you are absolutely right Kevin. To overcome and be more effective, meditation is right way. It keep us focus and agile for our day to day work. It energise and recharge our brain and enable us to think out of the box too.

Thanks a lot for bringing this topic for discussion !!

I am finding it extremely helpful and we should use it as a technique.

Kevin, if you are referring to the theosophy & yoga, that's a fallacy claiming certain exercises to enhance clairvoyance & clairaudience because no human will by itself can empower these and make it ready whenever you want so no one has a crystal ball but such phenomenon happen as directed by the creator of the universe.
Your best time to have piece of mind and relaxation during truthful prostration not just doing the mechanical act. scientifically they say that the bad charges would drain and discharge to the ground (earth) when your forehead touch the ground but really it is your spiritual connection with the Lord makes the difference.
What I have found and relax me is that the human voice has the highest musical notation and play different pitch so to me is listening to recitation would make me dive in levitation.

I meditate in many different ways. Of course, I have done the traditional form of meditation in a quiet room, clear my thoughts and listening to my breathing. I even float in a sensory deprivation chamber once a month. But I also find that driving in my car allows me to talk to myself and work out issues I may be having. Sometimes putting headphones on and listening to music allows me to calm the chatter in my head and focus on one task for awhile. Taking a walk outside during the day can give me a needed break to come back in refocused. I used to call it my daily no-smoke smoke break.
The key is that stress can occur when you are feeling overwhelmed. To combat this I find ways the calm my mind throughout the day. May not be what others think of as meditation, but I find these breaks meditative.

Once you practice meditation and become comfortable with it, you can find yourself meditating in these non-traditional ways. It is all about clearing your mind and then just observing thoughts as they past through it.
Most people have a very hard time actually clearing their minds. We are so accustomed to constantly thinking (obsessing at times) about something. Just stopping thinking and giving up that control is a challenge.

Kevin -

Non-spiritual meditation (one approach to mindfulness) is a good way to gain more self-control.

Of course, regular exercise is another good method of burning off stress as is getting a good night's sleep...
