How to defend yourself from workplace back stabbers?? :)

Your best defense is to have good relationships with as many people as possible, and most importantly a good reputation. If you have those, people will likely defend you when the workplace backstabbers try to slander you.

Transparency, integrity, and simply just doing right, in my view, is probably the most natural defense - which is actually taking the offensive stance.

Michelle Obama once said: When they go low, we go high. Don't lower yourself to their level and backstab in response.

I'd also be doing some major stakeholder management and try to work out why they're stabbing in you the back. What are their justifications? motivations? Once you know that, you're able to move forward.

In my experience it's not easy in the beginning, since it takes time to build reputation, and relationship.
