I have been putting efforts everyday for three weeks and the score did not increase even by just one number, so back to the topic is that normal? the website was down today and many glitches however, they have done maintenance and looks it is faster now, I thought I will see increase in score number :-) but NULL Saving Changes...

I am not sure how the algorithm works. In my case, I have taken a long (ca 1 month) period of inactivity and the influence score has barely come down (perhaps from 72 to 70). I thought it would have come down a lot more.

Eduard, that was a good luck you could take one month break I did not contribute for one day and the score went down immediately and it took me one week to recover. Thanks for your comment. as far as algorithm there is no such a systematic system it is like what Kiron said {{organized by some disembodied brains in bottles (a la Simpsons)}}

I wouldn't say it is abnormal. I have seen times in the past where scores seemed to stabilize for extended periods of time. I would not worry too much about it. The contributions to the community are what's important.

Andrew, I really appreciate your encouragement to contribute to the community and it is not a matter of that we are worry but the score is there for a reason it is all about mind game no matter how you ignore it but then it pop up again and you wonder why is that to me, thanks for your feedback

Why do we care about our influence scores? They have no practical significance or benefit. No one is going to offer us a better job because of our influence score on this site, for example. This site's influence score is just a way to make us want to be more active on the site, which benefits the site owners.

Eric , thanks for your feedback well one my friend said that he was asked in the interview (( what is your influence score on the project management community)) ;-) you wouldn't believe that would you? well I agree with you it has no certain effects on the resume so far but it is a mind game it falls under recognition or discrimination look at Kiron he is daily here and contribute a lot yet he get no recognition there are so many less in contributions but their photo pop up daily in the banner of fame. what explanation can you give to that why his photo not there ...just a wonder
I have oscillated around 91-92-93 for months - it seems quite random and doesn't appear to be impacted by anything I do.
I think this is an experiment organized by some disembodied brains in bottles (a la Simpsons) who are seeing how much they can wind up PMs with such pseudo-gamification!

thanks for feedback, but till the time people are interacting and sharing their knowledge to community it is more worth while than caring about influence score
