Data Warehouse - where to start programming

I'm on part-time education and completing for a degree and i'm currently working on a project "Data warehouse". I already have a database on clients and on on employees and i would like to know if i can build the data warehouse on MS Access. Please help!

You certainly can build a data warehouse using Microsoft access. I have built several for demo purposes.

However, if you are looking for any kind of scalability or multi-user access, I would use something stronger such as Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 or Oracle Personal Edition. Those are slightly more powerful databases and intended for more corporate purposes.

While you certainly can do some reporting and analysis off Microsoft Access, if you are sharing the analytical capabilities of the warehouse amongst users you should use a different database.

Yes, Access is a good place to start, especially for a project or prototype. Good luck!

Yes Access may be a good place to start but a very bad place to continue, because MS Access has absolutely no reputation with Data Analytics, if any. I would refer some stronger platform for Data Warehousing.
