Anyone try submitting exec level PM-ish articles to online magazines?

Writing a series of whitepapers, one targeted towards the C-level and how to improve execution capability on strategic initiatives. Will attempt submitting it to a variety of online magazines. Both PM-friendly and stretch ones like Harvard Business Review, CFO magazine, Fast Company, Wired, etc.

Anyone successfully get published? Any tips?
