Hello All,

I passed the CAPM exam today! Hooray!

Now I'm looking for employment. Anyone have any thoughts on where to put my new knowledge and credential to work? I'm not opposed to remote work, but certainly not able to relocate.

Appreciatively,

Chris

Christopher, congrats on achieving the CAPM. I would say that any project you can get involved in, whether it's a work, volunteering, as part of a PMI chapter, are all good places to start applying your project management knowledge and developing core skills.

Congratulations Christopher! You have made a great choice in pursuing a professional designation from PMI. I agree with the other respondents regarding the benefits of connecting with your local PMI chapter. Project management job opportunities are plentiful in many markets and companies are increasingly embracing remote work.

Great Job! You may do the following now:

1. be a part of your local chapter
2. start preparing for PMP exam. (little tip- you may also get help by answering as many questions as you could on PMChallenge, appearing on your projectmanagement.com profile. You may challenge yourself daily by attempting 10 questions or 10 minutes on PMChallenge, hope it will help)

Fantastic! Start applying what you learned in your workplace, adding valuable contributions to the projects you're a part of. That will bolster up your experience and accomplishments to share on LinkedIn and CV. Be confident, but remain professional in your steps forward.

I'd recommend first getting some applicable experience before diving directly into the PMP.
