There are many, but an early step is to ascertain what type, format, frequency and level of detail each stakeholder requires. This is important because everyone has different requirements, and these can change throughout the project. For example, some may need a lot of information at the beginning of the project and less toward the end, thus affecting the frequency level. I'm sure other colleagues will chime in with additional steps. Saving Changes...

Go Live and Support is the name of one of the stage into our governance process based on Stage Gate method. Here comes:
-Deliverable
a tangible or intangible product or service produced as a result of the project that is intended to be delivered to a customer (either internal or external). A deliverable may be composed of multiple smaller deliverables. It may be either an outcome to be achieved (as in "The corporation says that becoming profitable this year is a deliverable.") or an output to be provided (as in "The deliverable for the completed project consists of a special-purpose electronic device and its controlling software.").
-Exit criteria
Deployment into Production
Handoff to Global Operations
Refine and update project documents, RIC and schedule
Complete deliverables required per Project Tailoring Matrix to exit this Phase before the Stage Gate Quality review
Stage Gate review and approvals
-Objective
The objectives of the Go Live and Support Phase are to deploy the solution and applicable supporting documentation to users. In this phase documented approval is required by the Business Sponsor to utilize the solution on an on-going basis. Additionally, all data must be converted to the production system. Participants then install the solution in a production environment, handoff the support to production or baseline support, and verify the existence of a stable environment.
Release management is an integral part of the Go Live and Support Phase. Release management is the process that confirms bugs are identified and fixed, and makes the new product available to users. It includes delivery, performance tuning, providing documentation and training, and knowledge transfer. Saving Changes...
