I spent most of the last week exploring the only Canadian province I haven't visited to date (Newfoundland) and the week before visiting two wineries per day in the Niagara region.
Needless to say, I'm mourning the realistic (though not calendar-based) end of Summer and the end of my two weeks vacation :-)

Kiron, good for you how was your experience with the East coast,
I bet you Niagara on the lake and Saint Catharines very enjoyable did you visited Edward Sera Gallery on Queen St.
I was looking at 30 centigrade in Toronto and we had a minus 1 here in last days of August, so we had a short summer

-1 in August, Riyadh - I don't think I'm quite ready for that yet!
Most of time in Port Dalhousie was spent visiting wineries so we never made it into St. Catherines or the town of Niagara-on-the-Lake - good suggestion for our next trip, though!
Newfoundland is well worth the visit but five days barely scratches the surface of what the province has to offer. I've added Twillingate (North-Central Newfoundland) to my list of potential retirement spots...

Kiron ! really Twillingate ? it is less than 3000 people live there what attract you is the cost of living cheaper well weather wise is not that warm like today is 19 and raining I guess retirement place would consider near access to hospitals / services not to live in a remote Ocean side community though the natural scenery of sunset and down are beautiful
And yes it is in minus (( August )) '-)

What drew me to Twillingate is the temperature is moderate (neither too hot nor too cold), dry air, ocean views for a fraction of the price of a Lake Ontario view, relative close proximity to a major airport and a very laid back lifestyle.
If I was able to work 100% remotely now and didn't have a kid in university in Ontario, I'd move now!

Kiron, well weather wise you could consider Nanaimo as well or you like to face Ireland more near to Europe flight however I trust your judgement so when you buy book one chalet for me as well to be your neighbour. It takes me 76 hours driving to reach there.
