Let's start with Organizational goals! They may be anything, more revenues, increased market share or what ever. Then a strategy is formulated to meet those goals. Projects are initiated to execute that strategy and inturn meet the goals.
Is there much of a role of project management up to this point except for cost-benefit analysis for project selection?
Projects produce deliverables as required, the deliverables are produced through a whole lot of effort and the effort is done by the team. What if we take on things without project management? There is a team, they are making an effort and producing the deliverables. What is missing?
Hope it's not too simple a question ??!
