Refinement terminology?

Hi,

Is there any refinements (which is an updating the WBS when working with define activity process) according to PMBOK 6th ed.) ?

I am asking this question because I never trace it in (PMBOK 6th ed).

Please share me your thoughts.

For Example:
Leads and lags are refinements are applied during network analysis for develop viable schedule.
May be refinements is not a good terminology when updating the WBS (as old version of PMBOK).
