How do I promote PMI-ACP in my organization

Dear All,

I am a PMI-ACP and aware of benefits but i think they are not enough to present to my PM stakeholders next week.

Can somebody please post key statistics like how many certification holders,salary levels etc and why PMI-ACP is better compared to other certification and why we should go for it.

Statistics say nothing about that because it depends on the interest that organization that created it owns and it depends on the market and location where the statistics has been created. Each certification (when I have three belonging to the PMI, including PMI-ACP) said nothing about you. Is not about to be certified. Is about to have the needed expertisse to perform the activity. No matter that, each time I decide go for a certification, I made my own estimation about future market demands. Because it is an estimation an inherent error is on them because the amount of information I can collect.

I completely agree. Apart from this environment and culture are most important factors to be considered. It's not about promoting, it's about to have the needed expertise to perform the activity as Sergio pointed.

While PMI has done some research into potential salary benefits of the PMP certification, I don't believe anything similar has been done with the PMI-ACP as it is a relatively new certification and is competing with some very well established designations.

Your issue of PMI Today (print or softcopy) will provide you with statistics about the current number of PMI-ACP holders.

Bala - I totally agree with Kiron. When I promoted this certification in my company, I did it based on benefits and the value it adds taking into consideration that PMI is a highly reputable certification body.

Communicate with leadership on Agile and show the advantages of ACP. You can also use the reputation of PMP in the organizations and how ACP came from PMI.
