I am looking for some alternatives to MS project. The company I work for doesn't believe the investment in MS project is worthwhile (and I don't disagree). I am basically looking for something that can help with company wide resourcing along with scheduling. I don't need anything that deals with timesheet input or reporting (as we have another project that does this). Any suggestions are appreciated.

thanks,

Hi Drew,

I realize that you posted close to a month ago so I’m not sure if you’ve already found a solution that fits your needs, but in the case that you have not, I think Easy Projects .NET(http://www.easyprojects.net) would be a great option. That having been said, I do work for the company so I’m obviously a little biased, but in terms of what you are looking for, there seems to be a strong fit.

You mentioned that your company does not believe that the investment in MS projects is worthwhile and what Easy Projects .NET delivers is an easy-to-use MS Projects alternative at 80% less than the cost. We actually offer the option between running the software in-house (much like MS Projects) or web-hosted, but as others have mentioned, web-based options are great for collaboration, both within the organization and with any clients.

Our product is very easy to implement (no training courses required to learn, no difficult set up procedures, etc.) and the company provides customers will a very receptive and knowledgeable support team. On a final note, Easy Projects .NET does have time logging and reporting features, but they are not necessary for the product to function.

Good luck with your search and if I can be of any further help, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warm Regards,
Amanda
