Team Building strategies are particularity valuable when team members operate from remote locations without the benefit of face-to-face contact.
Is above statement correct?
In my opinion the statement should be (with rather without) even with virtual meeting there is a video conference ( nearly the same of face-to-face meeting).

Team building is important in any context, but it does become that much more important when team members are not seeing each other in person. While video conferencing technology can create a sense of presence you still won't pick up on all the body language cues which are evident when we are face-to-face. On top of that, if you have a truly dispersed team where there are many remote participants, video conferencing does not scale well unless there is a lot of money to spend on a top quality setup.

I have seen lot of team building activities that instead of creating a team contribute to break the group into pieces. For example, making futbol match with people in the wrong side. Saving Changes...
