Which online PMP exam preparation course would you recommend?
Network:22

Hi guys!
I am looking forward to taking the PMP exam in 2019, and looking for a prep course.

I am browsing the CCRS database on PMI's website, but the limited search options make it quite tedious to find an online provider for a PMP exam preparation course.

Would you be able to recommend one? Which one did you use?
Thanks in advance!
Amelie

Hi Amellie,

How are you? Hope be fine!!!

First of all, read PMP tips in PMI website especially exam outline carefully. Then, read PMBOK cover to cover carefully in more one time and rita book for understanding only. After that, solve thousands questions on PMSTUDY, PMPRECAST & Udemy and ensure your score not less than 85%. PMSTUDY solve alll questions is very helpful!!! Final, rest and apply exam.

For PMP prep., you can attend the PMP course from Udemy especially Joseph. He is the best one. And you can download the PMP course for 35 hours digitally!!

Good luck

Hey Tamer!
Thanks so much for this feedback-- it definitely helped me to take a decision :) I will go with UDEMY finally (your message made me realize that they had updated to version 6).

I am taking note that I should read the PMBOK many times :-)
Cheers!

Exactly!!! PMBOK is a basic holy book for PMI, and PMP exam ref. is from PMBOK last version. Rita book is just understanding topics like change request process is very important, scheduling, cost control, conflict resolution, risk response strategy,...etc. Then, you must solve all questions from PMSTUDY! Buy the silver package and solve all questions!!!

Any douts send me message. You can add me in my linkedin!!!

I used LearningTree for my PMP boot camp because I wanted an in-person class. Others have used Velociteach. I used Udemy for the RMP and Simplilearn for the ACP.
Udemy is the least expensive. I have found that some instructors there are good, but others, not so much. I actually did not like the RMP training. If you go with Udemy and feel confident afterwards, that is great. If not, you did not spend that much money and can go elsewhere.

I am cautiously enthousiastic with Udemy so far -- but FYI there is a great CyberMonday sale on the course :)

Hi
Of course I'll recommend my PMP® prep courses on Udemy. Message me and I'll send you a discount coupon. Be careful - not all courses are 6th ed. I just noticed that Joseph Philips has a new PMP® math course but it is based on the 5th ed and I don't think he realizes it. For example he has a lesson on the communication channels equation but that's not in the 6th ed. Anyway I have an inexpensive one that has 3 simulation exams based on PMBOK 6th ed.

Thanks Paul -
I was careful in buying the package to make sure it was based on Version 6. Glad I double checked!

Hi Paul,

I am pretty sure you know that, but maybe others who read this does not. So, PMP Exam is based widely on the PMBoK Guide but NOT only. That means, just because it is not mentioned specifically in the PMBoK Guide (like the communication channels) does NOT automatically means that there will be no questions about it in the exam.
Sources for PMP Exam are various and not ONLY the PMBoK Guide.
For instance, the communication channels are mentioned in Rita's Prep Book 9th Edition which is aligned to the PMBoK Gide 6th Edition.

So, PMBoK GUide is not the only source for PMP Exam preparation.

Regards,

Markus

PS: btw: Communication Channels are mentioned in the PMBoK Guide 6th Edition as well. Ok, not the equation to calculate them, but it does not harm to know it .... ;)

Even more than a prep course, practice tests are so very vital to preparation. I used the PM Prepcast Cornelius Fitchner's podcasts and practice tests as well - anything he does is good.
