In simple words, Brownfield Projects are the ones that are modified, renovated or upgraded while a Greenfield Project is a brand new project that does not follow an existing work for example in infrastructure projects on a new land, when there is no demolishing or remodeling of a structure that is existing then you can call it a greenfield project. Hope this helps.

A greenfield project could be on already developed land that requires demolition. What would make it a greenfield project is that the planning for demolition and construction is new, rather than adapted from a prior project.

Just like modifying an existing structure would be a brown field, leveraging previous project data for a new project would be as well.
