I am currently in the prep time to take the PMP exam. Will it be necessary to memorize by heart the ITTO's? Is there a free tutorial where I can fully understand and learn the PMP formulas? I am visual learner and I tend to processing instead of memorizing. Thank you all for your kind support and collaboration

Edgar, I enrolled in an online course that was very helpful to indoctrinate me to the PMI 'world'. I've added much self-study, and feel that the combination will work well for me successfully pass the exam. Yes, some memorization of content, but also an orientation to process and flow the PMI 'way' is essential. Good luck.

Would agree on a course, online or in-person. These course are designed to map your knowledge to how PMI writes the questions and the frame of mind that some need. I did not memorize the ITTO's, though I did create an excel to help keep it structured and visual. Also will help to have a documented process flow, similar to what is on one of the pages in the PMBOK. In addition, flash cards. The formulas I did memorize. There is not that many and not very difficult to get a grasp of. I also wrote them down before the exam to accelerate any thinking when solving a question.

Hi Edgar,

there is no need to learn the ITTos by heart.
I will send you some helpful links to resources which can be used regarding your requests. unfortunately, we are not allowed to post external links here at the discussion board, therefore I will send you a private message.

I prepared myself with book called PMP Exam Prep : Rita's Course. If you are familiar already basics with project management charts (i.e. what is input what is output for each milestone) and had 3-4 years practical experience, then this book helps you solve tricky questions coming during the exam. It took for 1 month to go through this book.

There are some good courses on Udemy. In terms of memorizing, no but you need to fully understand the relationship between all ITTO’s and how they interact then it will be easy for you to make sense of their order. The exam does not ask you straight forward questions about ITTOs that requires memorizing but will tell you understanding of those. Good Luck !
