PM Software recommendations

Hello folks! I'm a PM with a company that does creative work for other companies: logos, websites, identity, brochures, newsletters, etc. Currently we are using multiple software to keep track of our data- Filemaker just to name a few.

I've been charged with the task of finding PM software that will work for us. Right now I'm reviewing @task, Daptiv, & FunctionFox. Some of the requirements of the software I'm looking for is that it has to be able to track time in small increments (for both timesheets and project status). We break out the day in 15 minute increments. A designer here can work on as many as 8 projects in one day, from 15 minutes on one project to 4 hours or more on another.

Does anyone have any feedback on any PM Software I should look into? Or for that matter, avoid?

Any insight would be appreciated.

I've successfully implemented Creative Manager in an agency environment. It is designed for what you do, and has great support. You can use the ASP model, or license the platform for your server.

I actually stumbled on creativemangerpro.com by accident. It looks wonderful but they won't send me the demo because there are only 8 people that work for my company. We will be hiring more people within the year but it seems creativemanagerpro has a minimum company size to use their product.

Everything I found on them was positive.

We negotiated that requirement down, and then grew the user base to over 40. Talk to Ron Ause.

Hi Charlie,

I work for Easy Projects .NET, but here are a few reasons why I personally believe that our product will suit your company’s requirements:

- Pricing is based on the number of full-access users, as opposed to the number of projects [In other words, your 8 users can simultaneously work on as many projects as they want without having to buy a new license each time a new project is introduced]

- We do not require a minimum number of licenses in order to use our product

- Time can be logged in small increments simply by entering decimal values. We also have a web-timer built into Easy Projects .NET, which functions as a stop watch and automatically logs time into the selected project and task

- Each project has a central file repository where designers can upload drafts/sketches/final copies of brochures, logos, etc. for the entire team to see

Take a look around at: http://www.easyprojects.net

Good luck with your search, Charlie, and do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further help.

Kind Regards,
Amanda Kwok
