I am a 20 plus yr industrial construction guy . Principal , Director , PM ,Site Manager ect ect . I have always wanted to study and take the PMP . It seems every where I turn someone is tryin to sell me something different . I have a stack of books and DVDs and seems like i cannot find good advice /guidance to keep this process as clean as possible . I can do everything from my home office and do NOT want to take 5-6 months to PMP test time . I can dedicate myself full time to this .

Thank you,

Considering you individuals have experience in construction project management, I would like to ask a question. As an PM especially starting a new career, what are some of the essentials things, knowledge, skills that I need to have if I am looking forward to working in the field of construction project management. I have the standard project management training, knowledge and skills that can be apply in any project or industry project activities, I am only limited with experience in that industry such as construction knowledge. I would highly appreciate if you can give me you honest opinion in regards how I can navigate the pathway to become a construction project manager. Thank you!.
Hello Buck,

Thanks for sharing with me what you do and providing a brief comparison between industrial and commercial construction project management. Sure, it would be great to chat with you sometimes. I will send you my number as well. Thank you.
