Hi all,
I am trying to get back into the industry, primarily focusing on disaster recovery of emergency response projects in Tampa. I took a hiatus after moving to Florida so I could help my mother recover from a major health crisis and completing my Bachelors degree.
Unfortunately, I have no idea where to start back in with the large gap in my resume. I would love to hear your suggestions on how to get back into the thick of project management; I so miss having the opportunity to help others get their project goals met.
I'd suggest connecting to a local professional network via your local PMI Chapter.
I'm assuming there hasn't been much disruption to the methods or practices for managing projects in your chosen domain so it should be easier to land a role as compared with someone who has managed projects in a rapidly evolving domain.

Also, look at options with a professional resume writer and/or career coach (often one in the same) to assist with getting backing into the game.
Good luck! Saving Changes...
