Time is running so fast we need to set up goals and resolution for the 2019 to be better year and that depends on how you identify the level of success and achievement at both professional & personal scales.

This is also our KPI to measure at the end of the year what percentage has been completed

Planning and writing down the resolutions helps keep track of each one.

Riyadh, Does mean KPI was identified the stratigig of project and it would be measured during project to ensure to meet project benefit? Is it right?

Tamer, there two type of KPI one is leading and one is lagging
Both are important to measure any work projects operation, maintenance and your own goals the most important you get a tailored kip according to the requirements.

With experience I learned that at the beginning of the year, our enthusiasm is so high that we believe we can perform miracles. As a result, the resolutions/goals/objectives are ambitious.
As the months go by, we are confronted to reality. Thus, I limit myself to defining 3 objectives for 2019:
Get my PgMP certification
Read 18 books
Losing weight

I think it's enough to have a very busy year especially with the other professional projects I have to manage and my beloved family.

It is OK to keep your personal goals and resolutions confidential and not to share it until you ensured the achievement of it

On professional life I have few certifications to achieve and to reduce weight ;)

Who needs resolutions when we have continuous change?

Resolutions are waterfall approaches. You need to be Agile and get together with all your stakeholders so they can tell you what you need to change about yourself over the next month. You'll improve twice as much in half the time. ;-)
