Muthukrishnan -

I am sure Rami or one of the other practitioners in this domain can provide a list which is specific to construction but remember that the scale of complexity of the project as well as the standards, policies and external regulations will mandate others.

MR-
I have to assume by the Question that you have not experienced a Construction Execution effort. Since this seems to be an inquiry, based upon satisfying some general curiosity. I will answer generally:
1) Every Plan within the Project Management Plan must be updated based upon Project Changes and Requirements. Alterations may be required due to changing Dynamics such as Procurement, Finances, Logistics, Change Managment, etc.
2) Official Communications including PM to Owner, Stakeholder, Vendors, Staff, Management is considerable.
3) Schedule Updates and Cost Updates are documented, (Project Controls)
4) Meeting Documentation is maintained by the Doc Control Department.
5) Plan updates/changes are maintained by the Doc Control Department through the Architect Gatekeeper.
In short- A typical Construction Project in my world will generate between 15000 and 30000 official documents. The Most Important 'BEST" practice during construction execution is the effective use of the Doc Control (er) and the Document Control System/Software.
