A great mentor mine whose opinion I strongly believe often told me Cheikh, don't denature the masterpiece you've already achieved with garbage of this kind talking about the fantasies I tried to add to my work. The most simple you're, the most natural and true you remain. What inspires you such an advice? Saving Changes...
Simplicity in design, thinking, communication and execution is a valuable principle to follow, but is very difficult to achieve given our natural tendency to over-complicate things!
Good reminder, Cheikh!

Complexity can be found throughout nature; complication is a human invention. In my search for the simple and elegant solution, I try to separate these two ideas and strip away the complicated aspects of a project. The complexities that remain are usually required but can be presented in an clear and concise way.

Hi Christopher, I agree complexity and complication are two different notions. Nothing wrong about complexity but complication embodies a so negative connotation which implies the deliberate need of human to denature something already correct. Great contribution. Thank you so much!
Mark Twain once wrote: “I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead.”
It is very easy to dump all of your knowledge and thoughts together, but distilling that into something simple and elegant can be amazingly difficult, as that really forms the basis of scientific theory. Saving Changes...

One way of looking at this is to consider that it requires quite a bit of sophistication for something to appear simple. For example, the sophistication required to produce a simple process may take the form of a good organizational culture or good team communication.

Hi Eric, effectively culture and communication skills are key factors of any knowledge sharing. We can't be simple if we don't have a deep understanding and knowledge of the problem in question.

I guess after all these years, we are getting to our roots of being "simple" - before we started over-complicating things.
Hi Deepa, if something is well conceived, the words to describe it are generally very simple. Saving Changes...
