We are working on a large peoplesoft engagement and has many project plans for this program. All the plans were baselined and published to the team and we have started tracking. On one of the project plans, the lead now wants to add few tasks and delete few tasks. Then.. wants to rebaseline the project plan (doesnot want to create another new baseline). So, this is what I have suggested...pls let me know if this approach is correct ..
1. Make a copy of the existing plan
2. Clear the % complete column (and Actual dates)
3. Clear baseline (go to tools > tracking> clear baseline)
4. Make the required changes (adding tasks or deleting tasks or any other chagnes)
5. go to tools > tracking> rebaseline
6. Put back the % completes and actual dates
Is this the right approach? or is there any other way to rebaseline?
