Once you complete your 60 PDU requirements ( Cycle is completed) and you keep earning PDUs will they be counted for next cycle or they just lapsed Saving Changes...
I hit this situation fairly regularly which is why I don't start submitting PDU requests until my next recertification cycle starts for at least one of my credentials.
This is an area of improvement for the certification folks to consider as someone can earn 60 PDUs in the first month of a three year cycle, do nothing for the next 35 months and then do the same again. This does not strike me as "continuous learning" :-)

Maybe PMI can introduce a PDU interest accumulating scheme - earn extra PDUs over and above the 60 and they will appreciate in value in your next cycle (e.g. 10 PDUs earned in advance will be equivalent to 15 PDUs earned during the cycle) :-)
Kiron, I agree but many PDU they get reported automatically not that we do it manually, and as I mentioned keeping continuous development is very important we can not have a big gap of not attending webinar, seminar, reading books, attending courses etc Saving Changes...

I hit this situation most of the time in all my certifications. I have much much more PDU’s than required and if you download your PDU’s transcript from your CCRS, you will noticed the extra once as approved but not applied.
In the third year of the cycle, you can start claim up to 20 PDU’s only in advance for your next cycle.

Rami, thanks for your explanation and I guess we shall follow your foot step. Thanks for feedback
If excess PDU's can be applied to the next cycle that will be highly great.
It will but unfortunately not all pdu can be applied Saving Changes...

I am always in this same situation. I earned all of my PDU's within the first months of a cycle and then everything I earn for awhile is not applied until I am in my last year. My new cycle for my PMP just started in December. So this time around I am trying to take it easy and slowly earning PDUs by going to meetings and an occasional webinar. I am sure I will still finish up early.
I am just not one of those people who waits until the last minute on anything. And I enjoy learning and taking online classes.
I guess there are worse problems to have in life :) Saving Changes...
Dinah, thank you for your feedbak I also don't like to wait till last moment so I guess it's OK to earn early and keep getting more but they don't get applied which is fine because we need to keep learning and participating. Saving Changes...
