Since you're not sure, I will do my best to try and explain to you:
It is not the length of the answer that determines the value of the answer. Project Initiation is not Rocket Science and many of our fellow colleagues above did weigh-in their input in a descriptive manner so it is unnecessary to keep repeating the same answer again and again but you can certainly emphasize what matters most and what not.

Although I think people have pretty much covered the basics and most of them are summarized in "The Charter", that is really high level executive summary type information. Prior to a formal charter, there is often additional data gathering and evaluation such as if a PD group investigates potential projects for hand-off to the PMO.
