E2E delivery

I often read this in PM JD that PM should be responsible for E2E project delivery

What exactly is it? Who are the actors?
What are the key deliverable PM has to focus on?
Does it has a time limit? I mean when it ends.

In its simplest translation, E2E would mean the PM is accountable for project delivery from the official start of the project till final closeout. This is one of those generalizations in job descriptions that doesn't really offer much insights - for example, it doesn't tell you what level of authority the PM will be vested with or what specific activities the PM is expected to perform.

Thanks.Project delivery does not exists. Organizations are not delivering projects. Organizations are running projects to deliver solutions. Solution is equal to "the thing" to be created (product/service/result) plus "the process" to create it (project). Project Manger is accountable for the process while Business Analyst is accountable for all before the project and all after the project while during the project she/he is actively working on all related to assure that the defined product/service/result is created as defined. Key here is to define the solution scope. For example, some methods like PRNCE2 includes all related to pre-project activities and some post-project activities while some guidelines like PMBOK does not includes that.
