Three things that PM should check regularly for schedule;-

1. Compliance
2. Performance
3. Effectiveness

Treating reasons for non- compliance is key to ensure non repetitive issues and to avoid scope creep.

I am suggesting that at least once a week so how often you do check?

As most already stated, the frequency depends on the project characteristics. Still, I would say that once a week sounds reasonable. If done less frequently (i.e. once a month) it might be an indication of a too vague/generic WBS and less control over the actual project progress.

Eduard, you are absolutely right I agree with you a month would be too long so weekly is good and over all review monthly. Thank you for your comment

Peter, I thought that daily stand up meeting is short for max. ten minutes to check over all not specific to schedule compliance unless there is an issue which might disturb the schedule.
Max 15 minutes. In that 15 minutes you hear a lot of things that give you a first-hand impression whether you are on schedule or not, especially when team members start repeating themselves or using most of the time to highlight impediments.
