Shadav -

you can't motivate people, but you can inspire them. Read Daniel Pink's book Drive to get some of his insights on the importance of autonomy, mastery & purpose. As PMs, we have the ability to help with each of those.

Thanks to all for sharing your valuable points.
I would like to add below points :-
1- Offer opportunities for self-development
2- Don't micromanage-Provide your team with clear goals (see number 7, above), and then let them figure out the best way to achieve them.Do not constantly look over their shoulder

In my case , these two points also are important.

Agree with all the Fellow Members, basically what I understand every individual has different Motivating Factor.

1. Appreciating Team members work at the right time.
2. Providing growth to team member.
3. Assigning responsibility.

Great question and insightful discussion. Here are my thoughts:
- Build a conducive team environment.
- Set goals with the team and review them periodically.
- Identify each members' strengths and weaknesses, provide opportunities for them to utilize their strong traits and improve on weak traits.
- Give credit where credit is due.
